The Block and Bridle Club at LSU will host its 77th annual rodeo at Parker Coliseum on campus Friday and Saturday night.

With the theme “Cajun Roots and Cowboy Boots,” Friday night is college student night, and any college student with a valid ID is eligible to enter. Saturday night is an open rodeo, open to all contestants. Events include bronc riding, barrel racing, team roping, bull riding and more.

“Come out and watch a great show and have some laughs with the rodeo clown,” Ashley Allemand, rodeo manager and club secretary, says.

Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for LSU students, and free to children 6 and younger. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the rodeo starting at 7 p.m. A portion of the profits will benefit Braveheart Children in Need.
