Extra: Tiarra Nevels is working on publicity for a writing marathon planned by her English class “to get kids that attend school to write more. We even want the kids out of school to write more.” The marathon is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the USS Kidd Memorial and Museum in downtown Baton Rouge and about 20 students are expected to participate.
