Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus
The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Zing Zang Zoom show is coming to the River Center this weekend and it absolutely deserves the top spot on this week’s “Top 5” list. Experience the amazing illusions of David DaVinci, who has been called a “modern Houdini,” and laugh at Dean Kelly, the circus clown. This circus show also incorporates dogs, cats, birds, motorcycles, elephants and a number of talented performers flying through the air.
The circus starts at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 29, and runs through Sunday, July 31. Ticket prices start at $16.50 and are available at the River Center box office and www.ticketmaster.com.
This Friday, July 29, Chelsea’s Café welcomes Eric Lindell, whose eclectic sounds offer something for everyone. Lindell combines jazzy blues music with rock and roll. He also throws in a bit of country and funk for good measure. Lindell not only has several radio hits, but his single, “Lay Back Down,” appeared on the hit TV show “True Blood.”

The Molly Ringwalds
Make sure The Molly Ringwalds’ performance at The Varsity Theatre is on your “go-see” list for this Friday, July 29. This popular tribute band goes all-out with high-energy performances and full costumes. Originally from England, The Molly Ringwalds perform some of the greatest hits of the '80s, including Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
