The Baton Rouge Delta Development Corp. and Baton Rouge Delta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. will present 12 debutants at their annual Debutante Cotillion on Aug. 1. The debutantes will be introduced to the community Sunday during the chapter’s annual Presentation Tea, with a theme of “An Evening with the Debutantes,” at the Baton Rouge Delta Sorority House, 929 Harding Blvd.

The 2014 coterie of debutantes are Rebeka Janét Gonzales, daughter of Sheila Terrell Metoyer, of Baton Rouge, and Nelson Gonzales Jr., of Marksville; Amber Listach Henderson, daughter of Angeliea Y. Favorite, of Baton Rouge, and Nora Listach Henderson, of Missouri City, Texas; Alicia LeArra Johnson, daughter of Felicia D. Hawkins and Leonard D. Johnson, of Baton Rouge; Jessica Josette Patrick, daughter of Joseph and Carmen Patrick, of Baton Rouge; Aryiel Johnaye? Pounds, daughter of Deborah B. and John W. Rebeka Janét Gonzales is the granddaughter of the late Rebecca Branch Evins and the late Herbert Metoyer Sr. and Janet and Nelson Lavalais Gonzales Sr., of Marksville. She is a senior at Baton Rouge Magnet High School, where she is a member of the African Heritage Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions and received superior ratings as a pianist in Bach and Duet Piano Competitions. Rebeka is sponsored by Keshala B. Jackson, a member of Baton Rouge Delta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

Amber Listach Henderson is the granddaughter of Bounita T. and Amos J. Favorite Jr., of Baton Rouge, and the late Gloria Listach Henderson and the late Rev. Freddie C. Henderson. She is a senior at Ridge Point High School in Missouri City, Texas, where she is a member of the Spanish Honor Society, the Key Club and the American Red Cross. She has received special honors and recognition from Leadership Chemistry and Perfectionist-Algebra II. Amber is sponsored by her grandmother, Bounita T. Alicia LeArra Johnson is the granddaughter of Edward and Lucille Hamilton Perkins, of Baton Rouge, and Linda Johnson Midgett, of Denver, and the late Leonard D. Johnson. She is a 2014 graduate of Baton Rouge Magnet High School, where she was a member of DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) and African Heritage Club. She has received honors and recognition from LeadAmerica, Law and Trial as a 2013 nominee attending their 2013 national convention. Alicia is sponsored by Doris G. Jessica Josette Patrick is the granddaughter of George Lionel and Ethel Smith Clark, of Baton Rouge, and Betty West Patrick Martin, of Baton Rouge, and the late Napoleon Martin and Joseph and Betty Hendrix Patrick Sr., of Gardena, California. She is a 2014 graduate of Baton Rouge Magnet High School, where she was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Leadership Fellows, Upward Bound, Manna Givers and the Fashion Club. Aryiel Johnaye ?Pounds is the granddaughter of the late Hollis and Corean Randolph Bush Sr. and Ruthie Torrence Pounds Jackson, of Baton Rouge, and the late John Pounds Jr. She is a 2014 graduate of Scotlandville Magnet High School, where she was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, participated in the Scotlandville Magnet High Law Program and was captain of the Scotlandville Magnet High Cheer Squad. Whitney Arnelle Robertson is the granddaughter of the late Rose P. and the late Clarence Lodge Sr. and the late Doretha Wiley Robertson and the late George Robertson. She is a 2014 graduate of Christian Life Academy, where she was a member of the Christian Life Academy Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team, Marching Band and Concert Band. Tylor Monee? Row is the granddaughter of the late Joseph Cooks and the late Eunice Johnson Cooks and Cloretha Harkless Row, of New Orleans, and the late Butler Row. She is a 2014 graduate of St. Michael High School, where she was a member of the Beta Club, varsity track and basketball teams. She has received academic honors and is an all-district and all-metro Hurdlers. She was also the 2013 homecoming queen for St. Michael High School. Tylor is sponsored by Charlene T.
