Each week The Advocate asks a different “quiz taker” for his or her current favorites in pop culture.
QUIZ TAKER: Heather Kleinpeter Savoy, 33, owner of Privé Lingerie Boutique in Towne Center.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO: “Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline; classic country ... I can’t get enough.”
WHAT I’M READING: “‘The Artists Way.’ I am re-reading this one.”
WHAT I’M WATCHING “I watched ‘Where the Red Fern Grows’ with my children recently and it always amazes me how movies connect the generations. Watching it with them was one of my favorite movie moments.”
WHERE I’M SURFING (ON THE INTERNET): “Facebook. It’s an awesome tool for instantly connecting with friends and family.”
WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE? “A blueberry crumb bar and café au lait at Garden District Coffee!”
I understand your business, Privé, just won an award. Can you tell me about it?
“Privé was recently nominated by The Best of Intima, an international trade magazine, for ‘BOI’s Choice’ in their Best Shop Awards. The award ceremony is held in New York City July 31; we’re proud to have been considered for this juried award, which looked at all lingerie boutiques in the USA and Canada.
We’ve been in business for about four years and originally opened to service women who wanted to have a good fitted set of undergarments and also to bring trendy, beautiful, sophisticated lingerie to Baton Rouge.”
