A pop singer-songwriter known to have "The Remedy" will appear in the Capital City in 2018.

Jason Mraz performs at 8 p.m. Friday, March 23 at the Raising Cane's River Center Theatre. Tickets are on sale now at ticketmaster.com, ranging from $36 to $216.

Mraz's appearance is part of his solo acoustic tour which will take him throughout Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama and Florida. Following his Baton Rouge show, he'll perform at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 24.

The Grammy-winning singer burst onto the scene in 2002 with his hit single "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)." In 2008, he had another hit with "I'm Yours," which spent a year and some change on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

In November, Mraz made his Broadway debut in the musical "Waitress." The production is based on the movie by Adrienne Shelly and features music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles.
