Jyl Benson, SoFAB’s director of culinary programming, and Poppy Tooker, host of WWNO’s “Louisiana Eats!” will convene the Louisiana Eats & Cooks Club at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12.
Chef John Besh will join the two for the session at Brady’s Wine Warehouse, 1029 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd, Suite C, New Orleans. A portion of the proceeds from the class, as well as book sales, will benefit the Southern Food & Beverage Museum.
The trio will cook a selection of dishes from the New Orleans restaurateur’s new book, “Besh Big Easy: 101 Home Cooked New Orleans Recipes.”
The cost of the class is $90, inclusive of the demonstration, tastings, libations, tax and gratuity.
Each guest will receive a signed copy of Besh’s book.
Throughout each class, Patrick Brady and his team from Brady’s Wine Warehouse will offer pairings with each dish and a generous serving of wine education.
