Food blogger and chef Jay D. Ducote will appear on the Food Network show “Cutthroat Kitchen” on Aug. 10. Ducote, who last week launched a small-batch barbecue sauce in local stores, will appear on “Ho-Ley Pot,” where a chef is forced to cook soup using a single-brew coffee machine.

“Cutthroat Kitchen” gives four chefs $25,000, and the chance to spend that money on helping themselves or sabotage their competitors. It’s hosted by Alton Brown.
