Galatoire’s Bistro, 3535 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, will host a beer dinner featuring a host of local breweries Thursday, June 25 at 7 p.m.

NOLA Brewing, Bayou Teche Brewing, 40 Arpent Brewing Co., Chafunkta Brewing Co., Gnarly Barley Brewing Co. and Wilshire Brewery will bring brews to accompany cuisine from Galatoire’s executive chef Kelley McCann.

The menu includes hors d’oeurves of seared beef with piquillo peppers and shallot jam, veal liver and caramelized onion brochette, fried oysters with saffron aioli and pickles, all served with NOLA Brewing’s 7th Street Wheat. The first course will be grilled Louisiana shrimp with preserved peaches, garlic chips and ciabatta crostinis with Bayou Teche Bayou Peche IPA. Second course is a roasted duck breast with haricot vert salad, figs, walnut vinaigrette and shaved smoked Gouda with 40 Arpent Copasaw Dunkleweiss. Pompano en papillote is the third course, served with red curry, roasted tomatoes and Chafunkta Vookaray IPA. The fourth course is a braised oxtail with red wine jus, pea shoots and sherry vinegar, with Gnarly Barley Korova Milk Porter. Dessert features Wilshire Brewery Bucky’s Blackberry Heffeweizen, brewed by Galatoire Bistro’s Blake Hernandez, and a lemon-scented honey goat cheese and stewed blackberries.
