Multicultural fest

The Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch Library will be the site of a special Multicultural Festival hosted by the Baton Rouge Center for World Affairs this weekend. The event takes place from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 30, and will showcase the many different cultures in the area. Visitors will enjoy food, art, music, crafts and dancing. History comes alive

Hip hop festival

A three-day hip hop festival will take place Aug. 12-14 at the Manship Theatre and Shaw Center for the Arts. Highlights include a touring urban art exhibit, hip hop fashion show, live music, break dance battle, and performances of poetry and dance.
