Three more farmers market locations have been added for the spring and summer in Baton Rouge, said BREADA, the nonprofit that operates the markets.

Currently, leafy greens, root vegetables, and early spring vegetables can be seen at the markets, which will run weekly, weather permitting, through July.

The schedule for the seasonal markets is:

8 a.m.-noon Tuesdays, Main Library, 7711 Goodwood Blvd.

9 a.m.-noon Wednesdays, LSU Health Baton Rouge, 5439 Airline Highway (sponsored by Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center)

9 a.m.-noon Thursdays, ExxonMobil YMCA, 7717 Howell Blvd.

Year-round markets are:

8 a.m.-noon Thursdays, Pennington Biomedical Research Center, 6400 Perkins Road

8 a.m.-noon Saturdays (rain or shine), 5th and Main streets, downtown Baton Rouge

There’s free parking at each site, and cash, credit, debit and Louisiana Purchase cards are accepted.

Market updates and the full schedule can be found at the revamped website, breada.org, which includes recipes, vendor information and a calendar of events.
