The fourth annual Brew at the Zoo is right around the corner.

The craft beer tasting event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6 at the Baton Rouge Zoo, and tickets are on sale now.

General admission tickets are $45. Designated driver tickets are $20. Paper tickets will also be available later this fall at Whole Foods Market at 7529 Corporate Blvd. Pre-purchased tickets are required for entry.

Brew at the Zoo will feature more than 200 craft beers. That's beer from local, regional and national breweries in addition to unique beers created by members of Baton Rouge-area homebrew associations. The event will also include live music and food from vendors such as L'Auberge Stadium Club, Raising Cane's, Mason's Grill and Ninja Snowballs.

Zoo director Phil Frost said in a press release that the event has sold out the past three years.

"Brew has become a flagship event not only at the Zoo, but in Baton Rouge as a whole," Frost said in the release. "We certainly encourage everyone interested in coming to snag their tickets early, as they go fast."

Proceeds from the event will benefit Friends of the Zoo, the nonprofit support group of BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo. The event is for ages 21 and up. For more information, visit brzoobrew.org
