Cat Haven Gala
Tickets are now on sale for the 12th annual Cat Haven Gala from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 19 at The Lake House on Old Hammond Highway. The event will feature a buffet, live music and silent auction. Tickets are $100 each. All proceeds help support the organization’s Adoption Center.

West Feliciana Parish is buzzing with activity this weekend. On Saturday, Sept. 17, Lost Arts Saturday at Rosedown Plantation will feature 19th century hunting demonstrations. At Audubon State Historic Site, visitors can celebrate the West Florida Bicentennial with musket firing demonstrations, open hearth cooking and costumed talks. Graphic novel enthusiasts are invited to a special program at 2 p.m. Sept. 24 at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library Jones Creek Regional branch, 6222 Jones Creek Road.
