Companion Animal Alliance in Baton Rouge has taken in more than 90 animals due to the flooding.

And many people are calling CAA about pets they have lost or found.

If you have lost or found a pet, visit caabr.org, email lostpets@caabr.org and post the information on Facebook Lost Pets of Baton Rouge. You can see a gallery of pets that CAA has taken in at the website and Facebook page.

Other area parishes also have lost and found pets pages on Facebook, including Lost & Found Pets of Livingston, Ascension and East Baton Rouge Parish and for Zachary and the Felicianas and for Central.

Try to provide as much information as possible about where the pet was found.

CAA says it also is in desperate need of temporary foster homes. Contact foster@caabr.org or call (225) 774-7701. Supplies (leashes, treats, toys) and monetary donations also can be delivered to the shelter.

CAA is located at 2684 Progress Road, near the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport. It's open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
