The Louisiana Eats & Cooks Club, a monthly series of the New Orleans’ Southern Food and Beverage Museum, gets started on Thursday, Aug. 27.

On the menu for the inaugural event is Lady Helen’s Cheese Straws, Corrine Dunbar’s Oyster and Artichoke Appetizer, Meaty Cajun Gumbo served with Warm, Spicy Potato Salad and Masson’s Unique Almond Torte.
