Baton Rouge could get its fill of sweets, but it won’t be for another year or so.

Aaron Vogel, co-owner of the popular District Donuts on 2209 Magazine St. in New Orleans, confirmed that he and his business partners are looking to bring the concept to Baton Rouge.

“We are looking at planting a location there,” Vogel said. “It could open around 12 months from now.”

Vogel said he and his team haven’t quite finalized the details for the Baton Rouge location. However, he did say the Baton Rouge iteration will be the same as New Orleans, featuring seven rotating donut flavors everyday as well as kolaches, biscuits, sliders and coffee drinks.

“Right now, we’re working on improving the New Orleans location,” Vogel said. “We want to make sure it’s doing well and we’ve got in running in the right direction before coming to Baton Rouge.”
