- LOUISIANA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL: 48468 River Road, Hammond. Travel back in time to the 16th century where the atmosphere is adventurous and exciting and filled with turkey legs. - CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS: Downtown Natchitoches. The six-week celebration of the Christmas season begins in north Louisiana. This festival has more than 300,000 lights and 100 set pieces on display every night at dusk. Fireworks will be held every Saturday. The festival is open through Jan. 6.
