The frolicking party known as "Go, Dog. Go!" is coming to the Manship Theatre on Jan. 12.

P.D. Eastman’s book will come to life in the Childsplay Theatre's production of the childhood favorite at the 7 p.m. performance in the theatre at the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St.

There will be big dogs and little dogs; red, green and blue dogs; dogs going up and dogs going fast, all tied together by the repeated question “Do you like my hat?”

"Go, Dog. Go!" was adapted for stage by Allison Gregory and Steven Dietz. Six cast members will perform in the musical romp, which is full of surprises, color, clowning, vaudeville, singing/barking and, of course, six lovable dogs.

The show includes cars, hats, audience participation and even a wild game of ball that sneaks in some important lessons about life between innings.

Tickets are $15, plus fees, and can be purchased by calling (225) 344-0334 or visiting manshiptheatre.org
