Tickets are on sale for the LSU Museum of Art's inaugural La Fete de la Riveriere gala on Saturday, Feb. 24.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a theme celebrating creative contributions to Louisiana's culture.

To kick off the evening, a patron party will include light refreshments from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the Pennington Rooftop Terrace, which looks out on the Mississippi River. At 7 p.m., the event will continue in the museum with a Louisiana theme in the cuisine, cocktails, silent and live auction items. Guests also can stroll through the exhibits.

A highlight of the event, which is being chaired by Fran Harvey, will be a performance by LSU graduate Quiana Lynell, who is recognized for her award-winning mix of jazz and classical vocal talents.
