Tango Fire

Sebastian Alvarez and Victoria Saudelli will perform with the Tango Fire troupe on Jan. 9 in the Manship Theatre.


Tango star German Cornejo’s dance troupe, Tango Fire, of Buenos Aires, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, in the Manship Theatre in the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St.

The troupe has been called the world’s leading tango company and annually performs to sell-out crowds worldwide and has a YouTube audience of more than 19 million viewers. The company has since toured the world extensively during the past 11 years.

The cast is made up of five couples, which includes Cornejo and his partner Gisela Galeassi. The dancers are accompanied by a four-piece, live band that's fronted by singer Jesus Hildago.
