The professional choral ensemble Heritage will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, in Louisiana's Old State Capitol's House Chamber, 100 North Blvd.

Clarence Jones founded and directs the nonprofit group, which was organized to restore and preserve the legacy of the Negro spiritual.

Heritage has spent three decades performing for local, national and international audiences. In England, the ensemble performed for Pope John Paul II.

A reception will follow Sunday's performance.

Admission is $10 at the door; free for members of the Friends of the Old State Capitol. For more information, call (225) 342-0500 or visit louisianaoldstatecapitol.org.
