Rosemary Wells, author and illustrator of the beloved "Max & Ruby" series, will present a free program at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at the East Baton Rouge Parish Main Library, 7711 Goodwood Blvd.
The program is suitable for families. After her talk, a reception will be held with an opportunity to have your book autographed by Wells. Only books purchased at the program are eligible for signing.
Wells will present a second program at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, for teachers, librarians, writers, artists and children’s literature enthusiasts. In this workshop, participants will enjoy a more in-depth look into Wells’ writing style and process. The cost is $25 and $10 for students with a valid school ID. Doors open at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast. Other light refreshments also will be served.
