JCR Historical Society Book Club: 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., EBR Jones Creek Regional Branch Library, 6222 Jones Creek Road. The club will discuss "Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI" by David Grann.

Horror Book Club: 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., EBR Main Library 7711 Goodwood Blvd. At the inaugural meeting of the new club, "Doctor Sleep" by Stephen King will be discussed.

Author Event: 7 p.m., Barnes & Noble - CitiPlace, 2590 CitiPlace Court. Author Olivia Clare will be reading and signing copies of her book "Disasters in the First World."

Book Signing: 9 a.m. to noon, Red Stick Farmers Market, downtown at Fifth and Main streets. Advocate columnist Smiley Anders will sign copies of his books, "Smiley! A Laughing Matter" and "Best of Smiley." 

Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators: 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., EBR Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library, 9200 Bluebonnet Blvd. Open to all adult writers and illustrators of children's literature with the goal to organize regular monthly critiques in the area.
