The Forgotten Acadians of Maryland: 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., EBR Main Library, 7711 Goodwood Blvd. In 1755, when the Acadians were expelled by the British from Nova Scotia, Canada, over 900 landed in Maryland. By 1770, most had left for Louisiana, but some settled in the Chesapeake Bay area. Acadian historian and genealogist Marty Guidry will talk about this little-known history and its connection to Louisiana.
