Faithfest 2015 is being held Aug. 7-9 and will include Christian music, films, food, book-signings and presentations.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7; from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, and from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, ending with a faith rally. It will be held in Zachary at Milldale Conference Center, 11950 Milldale Road, and is cosponsored by Inspire Louisiana Magazine and Milldale Baptist Church. There will be lots of food and exhibits.
Admission is $1.
Some of the special events:
“God Bless America” concert by Jim and James Linden Hogg, fiddle and guitar, in Revolutionary War costume, with dramatic monologues on the Christian roots of the American nation.
Presentation and personal testimony by Gary Stewart, son of the notorious Zodiac Killer, with book-signing of his best-seller “The Most Dangerous Animal of All.”
Continuous live Christian music, featuring the 15-piece Dixon Prison Band, as well as the Fontenots, Lone Highway Band, New Gospel Travelers, Carlton Jones of Old South Jamboree and Debra and Sonny Hood.
Special presentation on modern prophecies of Louisiana as the spark for spiritual fires of renewal in America by Todd Trahan of Intercessors For Louisiana.
Also, a special season of prayer to ask for God’s divine mercy, “Intecession for America,” by Charles and Clelie Carpenter, and “Victory Over Addiction” by Walter Hackney.
Faith rally speakers include Sen. Sharon Weston-Broome, Zachary Mayor Charlene Smith, the Rev. Dick Metz, the Rev. Tony Spell, the Rev. Steve Young, the Rev. Ricky Sinclair, the Rev. Jason Robertson, Checo Yancy and more.
