Best-selling author Lisa Harper will be the featured speaker at the Jefferson Baptist Women’s Retreat on Feb. 6-7.

The “Perfectly Imperfect” event, which runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 7, will be held at the church, 9135 Jefferson Highway.

Tickets are $20. Register at jeffersonbaptistwomen.com.

Harper, the author of 10 books who is known for her humorous take on life, will delve into the difficulties and disappointments of everyday life, yo-yo dieting, cancer, the death of a loved one and how to find joyful security in the arms of Jesus regardless of what chapter of life you’re in.

Weaving hilarious and poignant stories from her personal journal with engaging exposition about the life-changing encounters Jesus had in the Gospels, Harper’s message helps women apply the truths that Jesus taught and demonstrated.

Light food will be available both days. At the conclusion of the retreat on Feb. 7, a Women Helping Women Expo will be held, featuring members of Jefferson Baptist Church. There will be arts and craft items as well as consultants from Jamberry and Scentsy. Harper will also sell her merchandise.
