Congregation B’nai Israel will host its “Art & Soul” fall fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.

The one-night event at the Baton Rouge synagogue, 3354 Kleinert Ave., includes an auction; wine and signature cocktails; heavy hors d’oeuvres; and a live performance at 7:30 p.m. by LSU professor and jazz legend Bill Grimes. He will perform with the Bill Grimes Quartet and vocalist Stephanie Jordan as special guest.

Art & Soul supports B’nai Israel’s music programs. Proceeds will help pay for new instruments, updated sound equipment and hiring and training musicians who perform during services.

In addition to the auction, B’nai Israel will raffle a Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry gold-and-diamond bracelet valued at $800.

Starring role sponsors are the Abraham family, Lipsey’s and Starmount Life Insurance. Numerous additional sponsors are helping support the auction and evening’s event.

Tickets for Art & Soul are limited. To purchase tickets, bid on auction items online and purchase raffle tickets, visit bnaibr.org.
