MLK Day Festival of Service: 8 a.m., Walls Project, 451 Florida St. Over 70 businesses, churches and nonprofit organizations will come together for four days this January to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. by volunteering to reactivate Gus Young Avenue in Mid City by painting murals, fixing up houses, planting community gardens and more.
