The Rev. Canna Carter Florence will speak about vocation at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at University Baptist Church, 5775 Highland Road, Baton Rouge.

Florence is the Peter Marshall Associate Professor of Preaching and Worship at Columbia Theological Seminary. Her research focuses on testimony, feminist theology, the performative dimensions of worship and the role of experience in preaching. She is the author of “Preaching as Testimony.”

Earlier in the day, Florence will be preaching at two worship services — the first at 8:30 a.m. at University Presbyterian Church, 3240 Dalrymple Drive, and the second at 11 a.m. at University Baptist.
