Honey Simple Syrup

Recipe is from the National Honey Board.

4 parts honey

1 part hot water

1. Heat honey and water gently in a saucepan over medium-low heat until the mixture reaches a simmer. Remove from heat and cool.

2. Store at room temperature or refrigerate.

For Infused Honey Simple Syrup: Follow steps for making Honey Simple Syrup, but as the syrup comes to a simmer, infuse the mixture with herbs, spices, citrus peels or other aromatics, such as rosemary, vanilla bean or grapefruit peel. Cool and strain the infused syrup before using.
