Chocolate Cream Cheese Cake
Serves 6 to 8. Recipe is by Julie Kay.
1 (15.25-ounce) yellow cake mix
1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup chocolate chips
¼ cup chopped pecans, optional
Hershey’s chocolate syrup
Edible sprinkles of choice
1. Mix cake mix according to package directions. Mix in cream cheese, chocolate chips and pecans.
2. Lightly grease slow cooker stoneware and pour in cake mixture. Cook on high for 3 to 4 hours. Insert long toothpick or skewer to check for doneness.
3. Scoop out cake or cut in quarters, carefully removing each quarter, and place into serving dish or individual serving dishes. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and liberally use edible sprinkles.
