Chef Celeste Bistro, an open-air café inside the Main Street Market in downtown Baton Rouge, has opened.
"I am excited to join the Main Street Market family as a full-time restaurant sharing my favorite Louisiana-inspired recipes. I look forward to partnering with local farmers at the Red Stick Farmers Market to highlight the bounty of Louisiana's vibrant produce in my menu," chef Celeste Gill said in a news release.
Gill is the host of Main Street Market’s Saturday cooking demonstrations “Fresh from the Market.”
The restaurant’s menu feature paninis, salads, and soups in addition to a line of rotating Louisiana-inspired classics like shrimp and grits. On Saturdays, the bistro will serve an expanded breakfast menu including quiche, pancakes, and grits and grillades.
It will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
