It seems like every other day there’s a new thing that will kill you. Drink coffee? You’ll die. Don’t drink coffee? You’ll die then, too. Wine? Death. Cake? Death.

Of course, we all have our own dates with destiny. But it seems like that, if you were so inclined, you could find a scientific-looking study to back up claims that just about anything could cut your life tragically short. Probably including reading scientific studies. And for every scientific study, there’s a new special diet one must adhere to.

This is not to make light of special diets. They’re important in keeping those of us who live with diabetes, heart disease, celiac disease, cholesterol problems and any number of other ailments healthy and happy. But it remains a fact that there are now more special diets than is possible to feature in a decade of Food sections.

That doesn’t mean we don’t try, and here’s where you can help. If you or a loved one live with special dietary needs, you almost certainly have a cache of recipes you’ve adapted to make work. We’d love to see them and share them with our readers. Chances are, no matter how specific your diet is, you’re not alone.

As always, we look forward to hearing from you.
