Piquant Pecans

Makes 3 cups. Recipe is from “Cajun Christmas Food Focus Booklet.”

3 tablespoons butter

3 cloves garlic, finely minced

½ teaspoon Tabasco pepper sauce

3 cups pecan halves

1. Preheat oven to 250 F. In small skillet melt butter; add garlic and Tabasco sauce. Cook 1 minute. Toss pecans with the butter mixture; spread in single layer on a rimmed baking sheet.

2. Bake for 45 minutes or until pecans are crisp and browned. Stir occasionally. Make sure you don’t burn them.
