ADVOCATE-TESTED RECIPE

Fresh Fruit Cup With Flavored Yogurt

Servings vary. Corinne Cook says this isn’t a formal recipe, “just a combination of berries or other fruit cut into bite-size pieces and served in a pretty dish with a spoonful of dressed-up yogurt and a garnish of granola or nuts. Delicious for breakfast or dessert.”

Any fresh berry or fruit combination for number of servings you need (I used fresh blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries.)

Plain or vanilla yogurt

Brown sugar

Vanilla

Honey

Fresh lemon or orange juice

Granola

Cinnamon

Crushed pineapple (canned or fresh), well drained

Shaved coconut, plain or toasted

Granola

Nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts), preferably toasted

1. If necessary, cut fruit of choice into bite-size pieces.

2. Flavor yogurt with your choice of any of these suggestions: brown sugar, vanilla, honey, lemon or orange juice, cinnamon or crushed pineapple. Top the fruit with a dollop of the flavored yogurt.

3. Garnish with coconut, granola or nuts.
