Dardenne chefs set to host cooking class

Chefs Michael and Scott Dardenne, who make spices under the Dardenne Brothers Fine Foods label, will teach a cooking class called “A Night Out at Home” from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at BD Kitchen Co.

The menu will include Creole Tomato, Orange and Sweet Basil Salad; Blackened Salmon Florentine Fettuccine; Garlic Grilled Asparagus; and Champagne Sorbet With Local Blueberries.

Fresina schedules cooking classes

Fresina Pasta Co. & Italian Specialties, 3458-B Drusilla Lane in Drusilla Shopping Center, has scheduled two cooking classes in August.

Class instructors Michael and Scott Dardenne will teach a Mediterranean Summer Lunch menu at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 12-13. Cost is $65.

The menu will include Grilled Vegetable and Feta Pasta Salad; Italian Marinated Chicken Skewers With Lemon-Basil A?oli; Cannellini Hummus with Pesto Hazelnut (Nocciolata); and Mousse Cake coated with Dark Chocolate Ganache.

“Rustic Italian Dishes” is the theme of class instructor Vincent Signorelli Jr.’s class at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 19-20. Cost is $70.

Signorelli’s menu will include Linguine Vongole, made with linguine and fresh littleneck clams; Conchiglie alla Pastora, made with small shell pasta, beef, Italian sausage and wild mushroom ragu; Melanzane Rotolo, a baked eggplant dish; and the chicken dish Pollo alla Diavola con pomodori al Forno.
