BD Kitchen Co., 7350 Jefferson Highway, Suite 490, in Towne Center, will offer a trio of cooking classes at the end of July - two featuring seafood menus and the third featuring cool teas.
Daniel Kearley, executive chef at Niche’s, will teach the class “Let’s Go Coastal With Mahi” from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 27. His menu will include Black Mahi Topped With Fresh Mango Salsa, Mediterranean Salad, and Chocolate Mousse. Cost is $50 per person.
The second of the classes will be hosted by BD Kitchen Co.’s in-house chef, Wanda Calkins, who will repeat her popular class “From the Gulf” from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 28.
The menu will include Maryland Crab Cakes With Creolaise Sauce, Grilled Red Fish With Basil Sauce, Candied Carrots, Parmesan Fingerling Potatoes, and Whipped Cream Pound Cake With Ice Cream Sauce and Fresh Berries. Cost is $60.
Cynthia LeJeune Nobles and Melinda Winans will host another of their popular tea classes from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. July 29.
The class, “Cool Teas for Hot Days,” will include a demonstration on preparing Herb Butters, Scones, Green Tea and a refreshing Mango Slush. Cost is $40 per person. Call 225-929-6070 for reservations.
