Monkey Chili

Serves 20. Recipe is by Peggy Wescott.

5 lbs. ground lean beef (I prefer 93% meat and 7% fat)

1 large yellow onion, chopped

5 (0.75-oz.) pkgs. McCormick chili (three original and two hot)

4 (10-oz.) cans Ro-tel tomatoes

4 (15.5-oz.) cans chili beans

4 (14.5-oz.) cans diced tomatoes, zesty chili-style

3 (16-oz.) cans tomato sauce

1. Put ground meat and onion in an 8-quart slow cooker on high for 3 hours. Take out and drain meat and onions.

2. Put meat and onion mix back in slow cooker.

3. Add chili beans, Ro-tel tomatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and chili packages. Cook on low for eight hours.
