Dr. Talc’s Bloody Mary
Makes 1 large drink. Recipe is from “The Confederacy of Dunces Cookbook: Recipes from Ignatius J. Reilly’s New Orleans” by Cynthia LeJeune Nobles.
6 ounces V8 juice
2 ounces vodka
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon Tabasco brand sauce
¼ teaspoon prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
¼ teaspoon celery salt
Pickled okra, lemon wedges and celery sticks for garnish
1.Pour all drink ingredients into an ice-filled cocktail shaker and shake until thoroughly mixed. Strain into a large ice-filled glass and garnish with okra, lemon wedges and celery sticks.
