Baked Pineapple Topping

Serves 4 to 6. Recipe is by Julie Kay.

1 fresh pineapple, cored and outer thorny “skin” removed, sliced into rounds

¾ cup brown sugar

¼ cup butter, melted

½ cup Ritz crackers, crushed

1. Place fresh pineapple slices into slow cooker.

2. Mix brown sugar and melted butter together and spoon over pineapple.

3. Cook on low 2-4 hours.

4. Remove and top with crushed crackers. Use as topping for ham slices.
