Fig Cornish Hens
Serves 4. Recipe is by Julie Kay.
2 Cornish hens
1 cup fig preserves
1 green pepper, sliced
1 tbl. black pepper
1. Take Cornish hens out of freezer the night before cooking and place in the refrigerator.
2. Place hens into slow cooker when ready to cook and top with fig preserves, green pepper and black pepper.
3. Cook on High for 1 hour if hens are still pretty frozen. Then switch to Low and cook for 6 to 8 hours.
