LSU students and Baton Rougeans will soon get a taste of Philadelphia, Pa.
Everything Philly, a new restaurant at 3260 Highland Road, Suite 6, will open in March or April, according to the restaurant’s marketing consultant, Elise Patterson.
The restaurant, in the old Momma Goldberg’s Deli near the north gates of LSU, will have Philadelphia-style cheese steak sandwiches, pizza, hot dogs, funnel cakes and water ice, a dessert that’s comparable to Italian ice or sno-balls.
Baton Rouge businessman Ameen Walker, who is from Philadelphia, is the owner. Patterson said the restaurant has been a passion project for Walker.
“[Walker] started working on it last year, but he has lived in Louisiana for awhile, and this idea has been something that has been in the back of his mind for some time,” Patterson said. “It will be very authentic.”
The restaurant will feature online ordering, but no delivery. For more information, visit facebook.com/everythingphillybr.
