Wheat-Topped Broccoli Casserole

Serves 4 to 6. Recipe is by Julie Kay.

2 (14-ounce) packages frozen broccoli florets

1 tablespoon Tony Chachere’s Creole seasoning

1 (10 ½-ounce) can cream of onion soup

2 cups fiesta cheese

1½ cups wheat crackers, crumbled, reserving ½ cup

1. Put broccoli into slow cooker. Sprinkle seasoning over all and add cream of onion soup.

2. Cook on low for 3 hours and add cheese and 1 cup crumbled crackers. Continue cooking on low for another hour or two.

3. Remove and top with remaining crumbled crackers.
