Honey Mustard Cornish Hens
Serves 2 to 4. Recipe is by Julie Kay.
2 to 3 Cornish hens, thawed overnight in refrigerator
3/4 cup honey mustard dressing
4 tbls brown mustard
½ tsp. prepared horseradish
3 carrots, peeled and sliced into strips
1. Put Cornish hens into slow cooker.
2. Mix together honey mustard dressing, mustard and horseradish and spoon over hens.
3. Add in carrots and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.
Note: If your hens are still fairly frozen, turn the cooker to High for an hour to boost the heat during the initial cooking phase.
