Football season brings out the party in us.

It can be a spur-of-the-moment gathering of friends to watch the game or something with a little more advanced planning.

Make it easy, but have something tasty to serve at halftime. I prepared these Marmalade Glazed Chicken Strips last week, and they were popular.

These are different, and you have to like horseradish, which is mixed with orange marmalade and lime juice to produce tasty chicken snacks.

I stepped up the presentation by putting them on thin skewers. Some tenderloins I left whole and others I cut in half for smaller bites. It took just a few minutes to put the meat on skewers, but it dressed up the ordinary plate of chicken.

For those of you who don’t like horseradish, I’ve included a recipe for an orange marmalade and barbecue sauce combination with ginger and a little soy sauce. Both of these are so easy to prepare. I served the chicken the following night with creamed spinach.

If you are using other chicken pieces, you may have to adjust baking times.
