Wingamania, a new day-long festival from Geaux Rouge, will land in Baton Rouge in mid-April.

The team behind Capital City Mac Fest, BRunchFest and city-wide burger battles is back with a new food festival.

Geaux Rouge Productions, an event planning and management company founded in 2016 by attorney Franz Borghardt and Curbside owner Nick Hufft, will launch Wingamania! on Saturday, April 21 at Tin Roof Brewing (1624 Wyoming St.).

Guests at Wingamania! can feast on 15 different types of wings from Baton Rouge and surrounding area restaurants. The event will also feature a hot wing eating contest, live entertainment and beer specials from Tin Roof, according to a release.

A list of wing vendors for the festival was not ready as of Friday afternoon, but fingers crossed that the event will feature: KFC, Buffalo Wild Wings (the "Justice League" of wing restaurants), Wing Stop, Hooters, Wings n Things, Wayne's Wingz World and Target.

Tickets for the event go on sale at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, during a pre-release party at Ivar's Sports Bar  (2954 Perkins Road) for $25. After the party, tickets will increase to $30.
