After the Christmas rush, it’s time to relax and take things easy for a few days before ushering in a new year. So, let's all just be in the moment before making plans for 2018.

I took a slow stroll through the farmers market and found some ingredients for some simple meals for the week. I couldn’t resist sharing these beautiful yellow bell peppers with my mom. I loaded them up with fresh, locally made Italian sausage for a simple quickly prepared supper, so I could spend more time visiting with her.

In the spirit of keeping things simple, I’m also sharing a recipe for yeast rolls. These tasty little rolls don't take long to come together and can easily be made in a muffin tin.

As 2017 comes to a close, I want to thank you for joining me on this journey to cook and share locally sourced ingredients for another year. I look forward to what the next year will bring. Happy New Year!
