DETAILS: Childhood apraxia of speech is a neurologically based motor speech disorder that affects a child’s ability to produce syllables and words correctly. It requires intensive speech therapy, but children can make significant progress in their ability to speak. The event will begin with registration and T-shirt distribution. There will be airbrush face painting throughout the event and other activities. The award ceremony for children with apraxia will begin at 9 a.m. The walk will begin afterward. The St. George firetruck will be on hand along with clowns making balloon animals. A raffle also will be held with prizes from Raising Cane’s, the Varsity Theatre, Kendra Scott, I-Catchers Hair & Body Spa, Build-A-Bear Workshop and more.
