SMOKE-FREE WEEK

  • DETAILS: The Michael Foster Project will play for this show, which promotes Nov. 16-21 as Smoke-Free Week in the parish. The Healthier Air for All Campaign is working with numerous partners to promote the benefits of smoke-free environments. Smoke-Free Week is a health initiative designed to raise awareness on the risks that secondhand smoke exposure poses, particularly to bar employees, patrons and musicians. The Great American Smokeout is Thursday, Nov. 19, and is a day where community members are encouraged to quit. During Smoke-Free Week, local bars are being encouraged to host a smoke-free happy hour, a smoke-free night or to go smoke-free for the whole week.

AWARENESS DAY
