FREEDOM MILE RUN

  • WHAT: BASF in collaboration with Club South runners presents the BASF Freedom Mile
  • WHEN: Saturday, July 4. Runs start at 8 a.m.
  • WHERE: Runs are from Hollywood Casino, 1717 River Road, to the USS Kidd, 305 S. River Road, Baton Rouge

  • DETAILS: There will be shuttles to transport spectators and runners from the starting line to the finish line. There will be four 1-mile races and a half-mile fun run for parents and children. The runs will start every 20 minutes: 8 a.m. — masters and grandmasters male and female; 8:20 a.m. — youth (ages 14 and younger) male and female; 8:40 a.m. — open division for women; 9 a.m. — open division for men; 9:20 a.m. parent-child half-mile fun run. Awards will be given in each category, and every child in the parent-child fun run will receive a participation award.
